Over time, it became increasingly clear to me what I wanted from wool: it should be soft and durable, it has to look good and, above all, it has to be produced fairly, sustainably and in an environmentally friendly way! That's why Soul Wool has so many yarns with GOTS certification, recycled wool and many vegan yarns. The GOTS seal is only allowed to be worn by yarns that meet the highest ecological and ethical standards, from sheep to shelf. Every yarn I sell has to pass the "Britta test", in terms of origin and production as well as knitting practice. E.g. wool with environmentally harmful chlorine treatment or from sheep farms that could practice mulesing, have no chance here.
