Rowan Big Wool is a yarn for quick success! Super soft merino wool is spun into a thick yarn with a beautiful twist, so even large knits keep their shape. For its thickness, the wool is surprisingly light and is suitable for knitting headbands, hats, scarves or sweaters. Merino wool is naturally quite smooth and 99.9% of people find it scratch-free.
The big wool when knit into a sweater, turtleneck, completely lost its shape when it was washed by hand. Unbelievable mess. It sagged beyond belief, wouldn't touch it again. The only things it should be used for are hats, cowls etc., but certainly not a full sweater.
