Real tweed yarn is made by mixing differently colored fibers before carding. This creates the vivid depth of color of real tweed. For Rowan Felted Tweed Color, more colors than usual are spun together, so the finished knitted piece looks wonderfully alive! Here, 50% wool is spun with 25% alpaca and 25% viscose to create a wonderfully airy, lightweight, yet sturdy and warming yarn. Alpaka insulates very welldue to its special structure. It warms when it is cold and cools when it is warm. Because of its grip and stability, it has a very clear stitch pattern and is excellent for multicolor knitting.
